Meet Elenita
Elenita Makani O’Malley is a queer Filipina and Irish American storyteller based in the Bay Area. With a background in cultural anthropology and museum studies, her work is grounded in curiosity, care, and a deep respect for the many ways people build connection, community, and meaning in their lives.
Elenita wears many hats as she pivots between work as a science communicator making complex topics accessible and engaging, as a producer and editor supporting filmmakers’ projects, and as a photographer and video producer documenting life’s special moments from weddings to family milestones.
Across film, photography, and social media, Elenita’s approach is thoughtful and unobtrusive, shaped by a documentarian’s eye for real moments, relationships, and the feeling of being there. Whether collaborating with couples, families, or creative teams, she approaches each story with intention and care.
